Welcome to Toronto Jewish Free Loan Cassa

In August of 1985, this agency was formed in our community, with the goal of helping people to help themselves. Toronto Jewish Free Loan Cassa is the one Toronto agency which combines the loan services of Toronto Hebrew Re-Establishment Services, Loan Cassa and Educational Loan Programme, offering personal, business and student loans to community members in need.  For Tribute Cards, click here.

Personal Loans to a maximum of $5,000 are granted for a multitude of needs. Our mandate is to help those facing a temporary time of need; the immigrant, the unemployed, and others who may be facing a time of personal crisis. Our loans to these individuals are interest-free, and are repaid by postdated cheques over a set term.

Business Loans, to a maximum of $15,000 are provided to members of the Jewish community. We have provided funding to many clients with dreams of independence and self-sufficiency, and have helped them achieve their financial goals. These loans do incur a one-time 4% surcharge, and are repaid by postdated cheques over a set term.

Student Loans to a maximum of $7,500 are granted to Jewish students residing in the Greater Toronto area, assisting them in achieving their vocational goals. The loans are based on student need, and are intended only to supplement O.S.A.P. and other existing programmes of student assistance. Our student loans are interest-free and are repaid by postdated cheques over a set term.

Our loans are granted to Toronto area residents only.
